HSO Collaborative

This is a success story between two HSO's ECU Physicians and Catholic Charities. ECU Physicians reached out to me because they had an unemployed mother who was recently denied from HOP but, was in desperate need of food services. The mother had a special needs child at home so she couldn't work, and the father's employment checks weren't sufficient to cover all of their needs. Hence why they were becoming food scarce. I was able to connect this client to Catholic Charities and this family was able to receive food boxes through the non-HOP side of their funding. I consider this a success story because despite this family not qualifying for HOP the connections that HOP created were able to alleviate some of the financial burden on this family and provide them with much-needed food assistance.
